Golden Zephyr is a Flying Machine built by American manufacturer Morgan[1] currently located at Disney California Adventure in Anaheim, California, USA.
History
During testing in 2000, the ride vehicles swung too far outwards and vibrated undesirably. The design was subsequently revised.[1] Golden Zephyr opened with the park on February 8, 2001.[2]
Design
Golden Zephyr was manufactured by Morgan to a custom design. The ride has six large silver rocket-shaped vehicles seating twelve riders each. These are attached by cables to a central tower. When the ride is in motion, the rockets spin around the tower.[1]
