- Blogs - these may be used when written by trusted people but should be approached with caution
- Social media accounts - first-hand photos and videos may be cited but information should only be used if it was published by a trusted account (for example an amusement park or manufacturer)
- Screamscape - can be useful for news but should not be used for rumours. Please always add a Wayback Archive link as Screamscape does not retain historical information
- YouTube - please always provide a timestamp in the title to help other editors verify the source. First-hand video footage may be used but spoken or written information should only be used from trusted channels (for example an amusement park or manufacturer)
Sources to avoid
- Newspapers known for unreliable and biased reporting such as The Daily Mail and The Sun
- Forum posts, unless citing a scanned image or the contents of a photograph
- Inside The Magic - generally seen as unreliable
- Wikipedia and other wikis, as anyone can edit these
