Frank Hrubetz & Co. was an amusement ride manufacturing company, based in Salem, Oregon, USA.

History

Frank Hrubetz & Co. was founded in 1939 by Frank Hrubetz, former chief engineer of Eyerly Aircraft Company.[1]

The company's first product was the Spitfire, similar to the Lifting Paratrooper, but with gondola rotations controlled by the rider, using "big ailerons."[2]

After Frank Hrubetz retired from the industry, the company was sold to Datron Industries,[3] which his son-in-law owned. Battech Enterprises purchased Datron Industries in 2009, where they service Hrubetz attractions today.[4]
