KareKare Curl is a tube wall water slide built by Canadian manufacturer ProSlide located at Aquatica Orlando in Orlando, Florida, USA.[1][2]
History
KareKare Curl was announced in October 2018.[3]
The slide opened on April 12, 2019.[4]
Etymology
The slide is named after Karekare Beach in New Zealand, a popular surfing spot.[5]
Design
The slide is a TornadoWAVE 60 model built by ProSlide.[1]
It originally opened with 2 people tubes where riders would sit next to each other facing opposite directions, these were swapped for 4-person tubes less than six months after the slide opened.[4][6]
In 2022, a tube lift was added, and the tubes would be changed once again to 5-person tubes.[7]
