Odyssey is a Simtec Systems flying theatre located in Saint Julian's, Eastern Region, Malta. It opened on 16 October 2024.[1]
Experience
Before riding, guests walk through a series of five rooms designed to immerse riders in the history and culture of Malta, covering historical milestones and other related information.
After entering the flying theatre, riders are seated in one of the two HEXaFLITE mini systems. each stacked vertically and offering ten individual seats in a row. Surrounding the theatre is a spherical screen ten metres in diameter
The ride takes visitors through a series of scenic highlights of Malta, such flying past cliffs and the ocean. Special effects such as wind, water, and mist are used for immersion, and the flying theatre moves in all degrees of freedom to match the film with forces up to 0.6G.
The overall experience takes around 35 minutes, and visitors exit via a gift shop.[1]
