Ropeways (or Cable Cars, Ski Lifts, ART) are cable-propelled transportation systems, that can be on the ground (on tracks) or aerial-suspended through towers and cables. Many installations are present in mountains all over the world.

Ropeways can complement POI (points of interest e.g. amusement parks, zoos) parks to boost visitor traffic. Several amusement parks have gondola ropeways, funicular ropeways and chairlifts.
