Scenic Railway was a wooden roller coaster located at Belle Vue Park in Manchester, England, UK.
The Scenic Railway initially operated at the British Empire Exhibition in Wembley Park, London in 1924 and 1925. It was rebuilt at Belle Vue Park, albeit with a shorter track length.[1] It closed in 1975.
Incident
On 2 August 1926, a 39-year-old woman fell from the Scenic Railway and died in hospital. She did not stand up but was riding in the last row and fell after being lifted out of her seat.[1]
