A sit-down roller coaster is a steel roller coaster that does not have a specialized riding position. This does not include wooden roller coasters, since they are a category of their own.
Seating Arrangements
Staggered Seating
Staggered seating, formally called the "V" seat, is two seats positioned side-by-side in the front, and two completely separated from each other in the back. In this arrangement, all riders have increased visibility. The first coaster ever to use this seating is the Behemoth, Canada's Wonderland, Ontario.
