Sunne Sommarland is a water park located in Sunne, Värmland County, Sweden.[1]
History
Sunne Sommarland opened in 2006 as Sunne Vattenland.[2]
In 2008, the water park was purchased by Markus Johansson. In September 2008, the water park went bankrupt.[3] It filed for bankruptcy again in 2010.[4]
Following the bankruptcy in 2015, the water park was acquired by Swedish tourism company Grönklittsgruppen and renamed Sunne Sommarland.[5]
On 24 April 2020 a fire destroyed several buildings and slides. As a result, the water park remained closed for the rest of the year.[6]
