Surf Cincinnati was a water park in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA located adjacent to the I-275.[1]
History
Surf Cincinnati opened on June 30, 1984 following an investment of $4.3 million. It opened with a wave pool, children's pool, and the Challenger and Thriller slides.[2]
In 1985, the Blue Bullet and Runaway Rapids slides were added.[3]
A lazy river ride was opened in 1988.[4]
In May 2002, nearby water park The Beach announced that Surf Cincinnati would not open for the summer and that it would honour all 2002 season passes that had already been sold. No official announcement was made by Surf Cincinnati.[5] In August 2003, the site was purchased by former owner Bob Hoeweler for $1.6 million.[6]
