Taumata Racer is a 8-lane mat racer water slide built by Canadian manufacturer WhiteWater West located at Aquatica Orlando in Orlando, Florida, USA.[1][2]

History

The slide opened with the park on March 1, 2008.[3]

In late 2016, the lower half of the slide was disassembled for unknown reasons, it was rebuilt and reopened in mid to late 2017.[4][5]

The two purple slides had translucent sections added in 2022.[6]

Etymology

The slide is named after a hill in New Zealand named "Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu".[2]
