Tony's Chocolonely Chocolate Circus is an upcoming visitor attraction in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Tony's Chocolonely is a Dutch chocolate producer started in 2005. It produces slavery-free chocolate.
The facility will become the company's headquarters and will include two new chocolate factories, which will be open to visitors. The attraction will allow visitors to learn about the cocoa industry and the ethical problems associated with it. It will include a roller coaster whose design has not yet been finalised, however Tony's Chocolonely say it'll take guests on the journey of a cocoa bean being turned into a chocolate bar and "launched out of the smokestack".
History
On 13 November 2018, Tony's Chocolonely entered into an agreement to purchase Pakhuis De Vrede, a disused industrial site directly adjacent to the North Sea Canal.[1]
In June 2020, the company announced that the project was temporarily on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic.[2]
