Sheraton Hotels & Resorts (Dolphin)
Walt Disney World Swan and Walt Disney World Dolphin are two hotels located within the Epcot resort area of Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, USA.
About
The Swan opened on January 13, 1990 while the Dolphin opened on June 4, 1990.[1][2] The hotels were constructed in a joint venture that consisted of Disney, who held a 10% ownership stake, Tishman Realty & Construction Co., Metropolitan Life and Aoki Corporation. The Swan was operated by Westin Hotels & Resorts, while the Dolphin was operated by Sheraton Hotels & Resorts. Starwood Hotels & Resorts had purchased both chains in 1998, putting the resorts under single ownership. Marriott Hotels purchased Starwood in 2016.
As both resorts are Disney-branded, they provide some of the exclusive benefits that are available with the other Disney-branded hotels; making them the only third-party hotels on Walt Disney World property to provide as such.
While being separate hotels, the main pool area - the Grotto Pool, is shared between both hotels but is located within the Dolphin grounds. The pool contains a single water slide.
