Wet N Wild is an indoor water park in North Shields, Tyne & Wear, England, UK.
History
The park opened in 1993.[1][2]
In October 2013, the water park closed as the business went into administration.[3] The property was taken over by Moira Capital Investment who appointed Serco Leisure to operate the park on a 25 year lease. It underwent a £1.1 million refurbishment and reopened in August 2014.[4][5]
In 2019, the water park reduced its hours and only opened between Easter and September at weekends and during school holidays. In February 2020, Serco Leisure stated that the park would not reopen as it was not profitable.[6] In August, Serco Leisure purchased the site from its landlord for £3.2 million.[7]
In June 2024, the site was sold to an undisclosed developer.[8]
In November 2024 demolition began on the park.[9]
