HELP

Wild Cat was a steel roller coaster located at Poconos' Magic Valley and Winona Five Falls and later at Keansburg Amusement Park.

History

The roller coaster first operated at Poconos' Magic Valley and Winona Five Falls from 1978 to 1983 as Screamin' Demon. It was subsequently sold to Keansburg Amusement Park, who had hoped to have it up and running for their 80th anniversary in 1984, however its debut was delayed. The roller coaster was assembled in August.[1][2] It officially opened on June 9, 1985.[3] From the mid-1990s (perhaps after the incident in 1996), the name was changed to Wild Cat.

Wild Cat was damaged but remained standing when Hurricane Sandy hit the park on October 29, 2012.[4] It was subsequently dismantled and replaced with Looping Star.[5] Wild Cat was purchased by Deggeller Attractions but has never operated with them.

Rolling stock

Single cars. Riders are arranged 2 across in 2 rows, for a total of 4 riders per car.
