X-Drive is a product manufactured by Dutch firm KMG. It was introduced in 2019.[1]
Design
The ride consists of a rotating arm supported at its centre, positioned vertically at an angle. At either end are two gondolas each with two rows of two riders, facing back-to-back. Both gondolas are attached to the arm by a single motorised joint, while each gondola can spin freely individually.
While stationary, the ride is 15 metres tall but when in operation it reaches a maximum height of 18 metres. The attraction weighs 39,500 kg and packs on to one 16.6 metres long trailer. It is designed to be set up by a three-person crew in approximately four hours.
