American Flyers is a Flying Scooters ride built by US manufacturer Bisch Rocco currently located at Lake Compounce in Bristol, Connecticut, USA.
History
The ride originally operated at West View Park in West View, Pennsylvania, USA. It closed with the park in 1977.[1]
The ride reopened at Idora Park in Youngstown, Ohio, USA.[1]
After Idora Park closed, the ride was purchased by Kennywood in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, USA. It opened as part of the new Lost Kennywood section in 1995 and was named Phantom Flyers (at times spelled Phantom Phlyers).[1]
The ride closed at Kennywood in 1996.
