Boat Ride

A boat ride is a phrase used to refer to a variety of ride types in wich guests sit in vehicles that travel in water. While boat rides typically have an artificial trough, some use open bodies of water such as Gondoletta. The boats may be carried by the current in the trough or by a moving cable. A current is created using methods such as a water wheel or fans under the surface of the water.

Boat rides are slow-moving gentle rides and as such typically an emphasis is placed on the scenery and overall theme of the ride. Some boat rides are enclosed as dark rides.
