Captions

I'm thinking of adding a guide on captions, specifically whether to include a full stop (period). Wikipedia style guide says don't use one unless the caption is a complete sentence. My preference would be to use this as our guideline too, I'm not a fan of adding a full stop if the caption just says "The vertical loop" or similar. Thoughts?
