Fly Over was a body water slide built by Dutch manufacturer LOTEC Zwembadtechniek located at Tikibad in Wassenaar, Zuid-Holland, Netherlands.[1][2]
History
Fly Over opened on 27 April 1994 as the first and only installation of LOTEC Zwembadtechniek's FlyOver model, which debuted that year.[2][3]
The slide was removed from Tikibad's website in 2002, and was last seen operating in 2003.[4][5]
Fly Over was standing but not operating for a few years after closing, but was later removed.[6]
Design
Fly Over's layout was simply a hill in an s-bend shape.[5]
During the duration of the slide, riders were completely submerged, this is because the slide was essentially a pipeline connecting two pools.[3]
Before starting the slide, riders entered a pool and went underwater, acting as a large siphon, the slide then pulled riders up and over the hill, before dropping them off on the other side.[1][5]
