History
Gaylord Palms opened on February 2, 2002.[1]
On April 5, 2012, Cypress Springs Family Fun Water Park opened with a 4-slide Water Play Structure, replacing one of the hotel's pools.[2] It was later expanded in February 2017 with the Big Cypress Slides, which are more thrill-focused.[3][4] The area was also renamed to simply Cypress Springs Water Park at this time.[4]
