High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride is a steel powered coaster manufactured by German firm Mack Rides currently located at Universal Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida, USA.
History
Sylvester McMonkey McBean's Very Unusual Driving Machines was an elevated monorail track ride intended to open with the park in 1999. The ride was to have featured 60 individual cars.[1] The ride's track was constructed, but the attraction did not open with the park in 1999. A sign outside the ride's entrance noted a 2000 opening, but was later removed.[2] While the ride remained closed, vehicles occasionally navigated the track as thematic props above the Seuss Landing area.
Universal re-purposed the elevated track and added new powered coaster track atop it, provided by Mack Rides. The new ride, High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride, opened in 2006.[3]
