Huis Ten Bosch (Japanese: ハウステンボス) is a theme park located in Sasebo, Nagasaki, Japan. The park replicates the period and history of the Netherlands, and is depicted as a large town inspired by Dutch culture. Named after the titular palace in The Hague, it is the largest theme park in the country.[1][2]
History
The park opened on 25 March 1992.[3] It is situated on the former site of a Dutch trading post, and cost 2.1 trillion yen to build.[4]
In April 2025, an area themed to Dutch character Miffy was announced to open in June.[5]
