Jacko's Coaster is a steel roller coaster located in New Zealand. It is located in the yard of Trevor Jackson, the owner of Jackson Enterprises, a semi-truck trailer manufacturer.[1]
History
The idea for the coaster reportedly came when a family member told Trevor Jackson that with his experience with steel design and fabrication, he could probably build a roller coaster for his grandchildren.[2]
Work started on the coaster in 2018, with Jackson redesigning and adjusting different elements of the coaster as it was built.[1] A vertical loop was originally planned to be featured on the coaster after the first drop, but the idea was scrapped due to issues surrounding the forces it would exert on riders.[1][2]
Trevor Jackson himself took the coaster's inaugural ride on 31 December 2021, and it has run consistently since then.[1]
