Sea Dragon Coaster (Japanese: シードラゴンコースター) was a steel family roller coaster formerly located at Minamichita Beach Land & Minamichita Toy's Kingdom in Nagoya, Aichi, Japan.

History

The attraction originally operated at Pokémon The Park 2005, a Pokémon-themed pop-up amusement park, as Twister: Fury in the Sky (Japanese: バトルコースター裂空, translated to: "Battle Coaster - Split Sky"). Based on the film Pokémon: Destiny Deoxys, the coaster featured the two main Pokémon characters featured in the film; the legendary Pokémon Rayquaza who appeared as the coaster's cars itself, and the mythical Pokémon Deoxys who appeared in statue form around the coaster in its four formes - Normal Forme, Attack Forme, Defense Forme and Speed Forme. The coaster was also the basis of two pieces of merchandise sold exclusively at the park - a Tomy Plarail train set[1], and a promotional Pokémon TCG card.

It was one of the few rides from the park not to relocate to the Taiwan version of PokéPark in 2006, and was instead kept in Nagoya. It was relocated to the nearby Minamichita Beach Land & Minamichita Toy's Kingdom, debranded of its Pokémon theming and renamed as Sea Dragon Coaster.
