Silver Streak was a ride from American manufacturer Spillman Engineering previously located at Santa's Village Amusement & Water Park in East Dundee, Illinois, USA.
History
Santa's Village reportedly bought the ride from a Wisconsin park in 1979.[1] It was originally built in 1945.[1]
In May 1979 the ride was reported to open "later this spring",[2] but in August 1981 the ride was reportedly in its first year of operation.[3]
The ride closed following an incident in August 1981.[1]
Incident
On August 13, 1981, a 3-year-old rider fell from the ride and suffered minor injuries.[4]
On August 21, 1981, a 12-year-old rider fell from the ride.[3] The rider passed away from her injuries on August 28.[4]
