Space Mountain (Japanese: スペース・マウンテン) was a steel enclosed roller coaster formerly located at Tokyo Disneyland in Urayasu, Chiba, Japan.
History
On 27 April 2022, The Oriental Land Company announced that Space Mountain would close in 2024 to make way for a complete reimagining of Tomorrowland done in a new, more futuristic style. The new Tomorrowland, including a new Space Mountain, is set to open in 2027.[1]
Design
Space Mountain is an enclosed roller coaster, similar to Disney's other Space Mountains. It is overhauled at certain times of the year. For example, during Halloween, the ride becomes Space Mountain: Ghost Galaxy.
