Tornado was a wooden roller coaster built by US manufacturer Philadelphia Toboggan Company previously located at Wedgewood Village in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA.
History
The Tornado was modified only a year after opening; for the 1962 season. It received a taller lift hill, going from 58 feet tall to 75 feet tall. This was done in order to compete with Big Dipper in the neighboring Springlake Park.
When Tornado got removed, parts of the ride where bought up by Petticoat Junction to build Tornado. The layouts of the two coasters are not comparable however, making it a new coaster instead of a relocation.
Design
Trains
