The Twister was a body water slide formerly located at Atlantis, The Water Kingdom in Hollywood, Florida, USA.
History
In January 1984, Six Flags Atlantis closed for renovations after its first season of operation, with new attractions to be added, among these was an enclosed water slide named The Twister.[1]
The slide opened on March 17, 1984.[2][3]
On August 20, 1992, the park annouced it would permanently close 10 days later on August 30, however, Hurricane Andrew damaged the water slides badly enough that the park simply didn't reopen. The park operated last on the previous Sunday, August 23, 1992.[4][5]
