Twister is a Twist built by UK manufacturer PWS Rides currently located at Rainbow Park in Hunstanton, Norfolk, England, UK.
History
The ride was originally built for First Leisure to operate on Blackpool Central Pier, Blackpool, in 1989. This period saw a substantial investment by the company into rides for the pier, with the Waltzer and Dodgems also arriving that year, plus the installation of the Big Wheel the following year. The Sizzler remained in place until the end of the 1993 season, and was finally replaced in 1995 with the Space Loop Top Spin.
The new owner of the Sizzler was Ronnie Weston, who operated a small number of rides at the large Ocean Beach Fun Fair in Rhyl. Whilst at the park, ownership of the ride changed hands from Ronnie Weston to his son Brandon. It remained in situ until the park’s closure on September 2nd 2007, and was soon sold to showman Thomas Emmett.
From 2008 Thomas Emmett operated the Sizzler alongside a small number of other rides at Presthaven Sands Holiday Camp in Prestatyn, Wales. It replaced the previous Twister at the camp. In February 2016 the Sizzler was sold to Henry Roper of Rainbow Park, Hunstanton.
