Undertow is a steel spinning roller coaster built by German company Maurer Rides currently located at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in Santa Cruz, California, USA.
History
On March 23, 2012, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk announced that Hurricane would close in September and be replaced by a new thrill ride in 2013.[1] On August 27, Undertow was officially announced. Construction started on September 3 with the closure of Hurricane.
Track for Undertow arrived in March 2013.[2]
Undertow opened on October 19, 2013.
