Units
Hello, CoasterDave, thanks for your recent edits! Just one thing, please when making articles on rides outside the US, use metric units not imperial. If you're using RCDB as a source, you can change your settings there to display metric. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 21:25, 11 November 2021 (UTC)
- whoops, sorry CoasterDave (talk) 21:36, 11 November 2021 (UTC)
RPQ Rides
Hello how are you doing? Was just wondering where you heard about RPQ rides? I have never heard of it before. Thanks Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 20:54, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- I was talking about a coaster that used to operate at the Oregon State Fair on Discord (may make a page for it soon, as it stood there for 10+ years), and PawmotPlosion, who's in the Coasterpedia server, told be about a coaster of the same model (which may or may not be the same one from the Oregon State Fair) that was listed on RCDB (rcdb.com/16447), RCDB said it had closed in 2019, so i looked up the coaster and the park and i found out that they had started traveling with the coaster (google earth shows that it was at a perminate fair operated by RPQ called "Subic Fiesta Carnival" for a few years), i found the company name in a Facebook post [1] CoasterDave (talk) 07:33, 17 December 2023 (UTC)
- Ah found it now, thanks. I also found this article. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 11:04, 17 December 2023 (UTC)
Forest Rumbler
Hello, Dave! I saw you tagged Forest Rumbler for deletion, but I'm not sure the reason why? I'm not too bothered about keeping the page, just curious. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 09:21, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
- The coaster isn't really large or professional enough to warrent a page, and to be honest, i don't really want to maintain it. CoasterDave (talk) 17:49, 15 July 2024 (UTC)
- Okay no worries. For me, if it's an "edge case" like these homemade ones it comes down to whether the article has good sources. If you're not fussed about improving this one then let's delete it 👍 Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 18:14, 15 July 2024 (UTC)
Apostrophe
Hello, just curious, did you create that page with the funny apostrophe using an iPhone? I think I had to change the settings on mine as it kept using the weird apostrophes and speech marks. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 11:57, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
- I tend to copy ride names from park websites to make 100% sure I didn't misspell anything, however in this case, the Volcano Bay website used the strange apostrophe. Ko’okiri Body Plunge | Universal's Volcano Bay™ (universalorlando.com) CoasterDave (talk) 17:51, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
- Ah okay - makes sense. They are a menace. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 18:54, 1 September 2024 (UTC)
