The image you uploaded
Hi, welcome to Coasterpedia. I'm sorry but as there is no information provided with the image you uploaded, it needs to be deleted. It looks like it came from another website. If you're uploading, please read the information on the upload page first, and let me know if you have any questions about it. Best wishes Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 19:53, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
Ok, I will delete it, but can you tell me how to delete it? I am new here so I would like to know how this place works. Thanks for reminding me. Greatcoasters (talk) 21:52, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
- Hello, I took it down already. What did you have in mind for using it? I can see if I can find a better photo under a free license (like Creative Commons) that we can use. As for how we work, well Coasterpedia is a website anybody can edit. You can add your photos too, as long as their your own work or a licensed under Creative Commons. We are trying to build the biggest and best resource for coasters and rides. Let me know if you need any help with anything. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 21:57, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
I was planning on using it for a page for a alpine coaster called to Tobotronc. Which has a length of 17,388 feet. I didn’t make the page though and didn’t delete it since I was working on another article. Thanks for deleting it for me and when I do upload images they will have context from there origins and will give credit. Have a nice day! Greatcoasters (talk) 22:05, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
Image categories
Hello! Thanks for adding all those images! For image categories, you only need to add one - the park name, or the ride name. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 19:21, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
Flickr
Quick tip - you can upload photos directly from Flickr with Special:UploadWizard - just paste in the URL at the first step. This should save you a bit of time. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 19:47, 17 April 2024 (UTC)
Showman / operator
Hello! The showman/operator parameter is intended for people who operate travelling rides/coasters. It isn't meant for sponsers as these don't "operate" the ride. You can still include sponsers, just please put it in the article itself and not the infobox. Also, please make sure that all the info in your articles has a source to back it up. Thanks Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 19:57, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
- Oh hey. Thanks for reminding me. The only reason I did that was at the time that was the only option for such a thing on the ride info box, and I didn’t know how to make my own parameters then. I apologize for this and I will make clean-ups when I can. - Greatcoasters Greatcoasters (talk) 21:33, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
- Don't worry about it - the infobox is only for a limited set of info. Best to just stick it in the article if unsure. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 23:15, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
