Hi, thanks for contributing to Coasterpedia and updating the page names, it is very helpful. Now that those pages have been moved I will go and delete the old placeholder names left behind. I hope you enjoy reading and editing here, if you want to contact me, leave a message on my talk page. Thanks again, Lachlan (Talk | contribs) (an admin) 18:58, 24 January 2016 (UTC)
Hey MattyMoo, so you know for the future, there are model categories like this one: Category:Models manufactured by Mack Rides so you can stick all the model categories for one company in these categories. Hope that makes sense.
Photos and rollback
Hello again MattyMoo, thanks for all your help with Coasterpedia. Thanks for adding all the Furuvik stuff, but as I've had hassle with copyright in the past I have to be strict about uploads.
While uploading maps, logos and renderings is fine, any actual photos on Coasterpedia should have license information. All pictures should either be used with permission or be released under a Creative Commons/Public Domain or similar license. Flickr allows you to search for Creative Commons photos, and anything on Wikipedia/Wikimedia Commons is fine. You can also upload anything you have taken.
Recently I installed the UploadWizard. It's much quicker uploading stuff as it fills in most of the licensing stuff for you.
Also you have been editing here a while so I feel I should give you rollback rights, it lets you quickly revert any vandalism with one click. Message me if you're keen, having another active admin here would be great.
Hello, there is nothing wrong with the edits they are all useful,
I must have pressed rollback by mistake, I often check the recent changes on my phone so that's probably how I did it
Hi Matt hope you are well,
I realised you uplaoded some of your own pictures of Wicker Man a while back but a license was never added. Would you like to release them under Creative Commons license or should I stick a copyright notice on them? I'm going to make a category for them all to keep them together. Also with the new UploadWizard its much easier to add multiple at a time, in case you have any more you'd like to add.
Page names for parks with same name
Hey! I had forgotten about this, but looking at the page history and seeing you moved the Happy Valley (Chengdu) article reminded me. I think you're right, the current naming method isn't great. We should switch to the method of using cities to differentiate parks with the same name. Going to China myself made me realise this, I always thought of it as Shenzhen and Guangzhou, rather than Guangdong. It's not quite as easy as always using the "third level" location from RCDB though, as Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing and Beijing do not have a county, so these names should be used in the article title.
- Hi Lachlan,
- I have moved Happy Valley Guangdong to Happy Valley Shenzhen and Happy Valley Hubei to Happy Valley Wuhan and updated the Happy Valley navbox accordingly.
- Hope that helps! MattyMoo (Talk | contribs) (an admin) 22:21, 23 November 2018 (GMT)
Site merging proposal
As you're a regular editor here I want to let you know about some changes to the site. I am seriously considering merging the Coasterpedia and Tilt-A-Wiki sites. Check out Coasterpedia:Site merger and please leave any thoughts over on that page.
Hi Matt, just thought I'd leave a message here in case you missed my response on my talk page, I'm not sure how well the notifications work! Anyway, hopefully my answer on my talk page can help if you were still wondering about moving pages. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 16:18, 8 April 2021 (UTC) Hi Lachlan, Really sorry; I didn’t see your message until just now! I’ll admit I’m not the most frequent user of the site these days, but I do still pop in from time to time to make some edits, so it likely got lost within the other notifications I’ve had since I last came onto the site! Thanks and sorry, Matt
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster
Hey Matt, With the new retheme for France's RnR to Avengers Assemble: Flight Force, could you just rename the page to the correct name? Thanks,
