Waterfun Products is a water slide manufacturer and former subsidiary of Amusement Leisure Worldwide located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.[1][2]
History
The company was founded in 1984 by David Dubeta, who had founded Wild Rapids Waterslide Park only two years earlier.[3] He had patented a new product called the Flash Flood, which allowed water to build up in a water slide's start tub, to then be released, giving the rider a faster slide.[3][4][5]
In the 1990s, Waterfun introduced their second product with the Sidewinder, a compact Funnel slide.[6] This product would prove to be very successful, with over 50 having been installed as of 2007.[2]
Waterfun was purchased by fellow Albertan manufacturer Amusement Leisure Worldwide in November 2002, with the Sidewinder being added to Amusement Leisure's ride catalog, though Waterfun continued to sell them independently.[7][8][9]
On October 9, 2007, all Amusement Leisure Worldwide products were merged into Waterfun Products, with Amusement Leisure remaining as a marketing company.[2]

HotelWaterparks.com is a water slide marketing subsidiary of Waterfun Products located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.[10]
It was created in 2008 to sell slides specifically to the hotel industry, all products sold by the company are identical to those sold by Waterfun.[10]
