Alpine Slide was a twin bobsled alpine coaster located at the Pico Mountain ski resort in Vermont, USA.[1]
The slides were 3,650 feet long.[2]
History
In May 1981 the Pico ski area applied for permission from the Town of Sherburne to install an alpine slide. The ski area management negotiated with two suppliers, Inventex and Bergbahnen. In June, it announced that Inventex had been selected to supply the slide.[2][3] The slide was slated for a July 4 opening, but was delayed.[4] It opened later in 1981.[5] The slide closed in 2011.[6]
