AtmosFEAR is a Frisbee built by Italian manufacturer Zamperla currently located at Oaks Amusement Park in Portland, Oregon, USA. It replaced the Scream'n Eagle.[1]

Incident

On June 14, 2024, 28 riders were stranded upside down after a malfunction caused the ride to get stuck at the top.[2] A parent of one of the stranded riders sued the park on June 20, accusing the park of negligence because it reportedly failed to keep the ride in a safe condition. The parent sought up to $125,000 from the park’s insurance company.[3]

The ride reopened on June 25 with a modified program that prevented the arm from fully rotating.[4]

The park sued the ride's manufacturer, Zamperla, on September 19, 2024, claiming that Zamperla was negligent and responsible for the malfunction.[5]
