Big Thunder Mountain is a steel roller coaster located at Disneyland Park in Marne la Vallée, Île-de-France, France.
History
Big Thunder Mountain closed in November 2015 for a renovation. It reopened in December 2016 with new special effects.[1]
Design
Elements |
---|
Big thunder Mountain features two tunnels at the start and end of the layout, in order to get on and off the island where most of the ride is located. This version of the attraction is the only Big Thunder Mountain to do that.
Colour scheme
Brown track. The ride's supports are hidden in the mountain structure.
Trains
6 trains with 5 cars per train. In each car, riders are arranged 2 across in 3 rows, for a total of 30 riders per train. The trains received modifications by Reverchon in 2021. These changes made it possible for cast members to remove side panels for easier disability access.
Incident
Five riders were injured in 2011 when part of the attraction's thematic props fell onto a train.[2]
