Explosive! Mosquito Catcher Operation (Japanese: 爆裂！蚊取り大作戦) is a Tracked Dark Ride operating at Namjatown in East Ikebukuro, Toshima, Tokyo, Japan. The attraction is based on the Namco arcade game Mosquito Attack!.
History
The ride first opened with Namjatown as Mosquito Catcher Operation (Japanese: 蚊取り大作戦) on 6 July 1996. In March 2000, the ride reopened as Mosquito Catcher Operation - Amazon's Counterattack (Japanese: 蚊取り大作戦 アマゾンの逆襲) with a new storyline and improved visuals. This version ended its run in January 2013 to prepare for Namjatown's remodelling.[1] The current version of the attraction opened with the remodelled Namjatown in mid-2013.
From February to March 2018 as part of a limited event, the attraction featured Microsoft HoloLens VR headsets.[2][3]
