Pac-Man-Go-Round (Japanese: フォーチュンミュージアム) was a Carousel formerly located at Mazaria in East Ikebukuro, Toshima, Tokyo, Japan.
History
The attraction originally opened with Namco Namja Town as Bianca Vita (Japanese: ビアンカヴィータ) on 6 July 1996. The attraction was located on the second floor of the park, known as "Macaroni Square".[1]
When Namjatown was remodeled as a single-floor attraction in 2013, the upper floor was turned into an Anime-focused theme park called J-World Tokyo. The carousel was retained on the floor, being remodelled and rethemed as Chopper's Carousel (Japanese: シロモクバのカイテンモクバ), based on One Piece character and franchise mascot Tony Tony Chopper, with ride cars themed after the Shiro Mokuba I.[2][3]
After J-World Tokyo closed in 2019, the space was repurposed for Mazaria, a VR game center. The Carousel remained on site, this time re-themed to Pac-Man as the Pac-Man-Go-Round.[4] The ride closed with Mazaria in August 2020 due to COVID-19-related profit losses.[5] The ride was removed shortly after the space was converted into a Bandai Namco Cross Store outlet.
