Frontier Village Amusement Park was an amusement park located in San Jose, California, USA.
History
Following four years of planning and construction, Frontier Village opened on November 6, 1961. Initial attractions were Lost Frontier Mine, live burro rides, a Stagecoach ride and a "Horseless Carriage" ride.[1]
The park closed in September 1980. Operators blamed the closure on its inability to expand the park and competition from the nearby Marriott's Great America, opened in 1976.[2]
