Funtime Parks was a company based in Aurora, Ohio, USA.
History
Funtime, Inc. was formed in 1969 by former Cedar Point executives.[1] The company went on to purchase Geauga Lake the same year.[2]
On March 29, 1982 the company acquired a 50% stake in Darien Lake.[3] In June 1985 it purchased the remainder of the property.[4]
Funtime announced plans to construct Wyandot Lake adjacent to the Columbus Zoo in 1983.[5]
Funtime sold its three parks to Premier Parks on August 15, 1995 for $60 million.[6]
