Haunted Silver Mine was a Tracked Dark Ride that was previously located at Frontierland Western Theme Park in Morecambe, Lancashire, England, UK.

History

The ride was originally known as Scream Machine when it opened in 1978, although soon changed its name to Star Treker. This was when the park was known as Morecambe Pleasure Park.

The ride was then given a western mine theme in 1987 when the park changed its name to Frontierland Western Theme Park.

It closed in 1998 as part of the park's gradual downsizing and eventual closure. The ride was subsequently left standing but not operating.[1]

On 21 January 2001, it was reported that the ride burnt down in a fire which may have been started deliberately.[2]
