Island in the Sky is a Flying Island built by Swiss manufacturer Intamin currently standing but not operating at Legoland Florida in Winter Haven, Florida, USA.[1][2]
History
The ride opened on September 10, 1983.[1]
Design
The ride included a 250-ton steel arm and a 350-ton concrete counterweight. Riders were lifted to a height of 153 feet.[1]
The ride closed in 2017. It remains standing but not operating as of 2025.
