Lakeview Park was an amusement park located on Goguac Lake in Battle Creek, Michigan, USA.[1]
History
The park can be traced back to 1864, when war veteran R. W. Surby opened a second boathouse on Goguac Lake. Surby continued to operate the park for 30 years during which he expanded the business by adding additional attractions. The park subsequently changed hands multiple times and was named Liberty Park during the first world war.[2]
In 1927, the park was reopened as Lakeview Park. A new arena was constructed to host boxing matches.[3][4] In 1929, Skyrocket was opened among other rides.[5]
The park closed in 1932 and was demolished in 1934.[2]
