Lightning was a wooden roller coaster previously located at Revere Beach in Revere, Massachusetts, USA. The ride opened in 1927 and closed in 1933 and was one of the three Giant Cyclone Safety Coasters, which were infamous for being some of the most extreme, vicious, and terrifying coasters ever built. The other two Giant Cyclone Safety Coasters were Cyclone at Palisades Amusement Park in Cliffside Park, New Jersey, USA and Cyclone at Crystal Beach Park in Crystal Beach, Ontario, Canada.
