Murder Lodge (Japanese: マーダーロッジ) was a Walk-Through attraction formerly located at Club Sega Canal City in Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan.
Opening sometime at Fukuoka Joypolis in 1996, the ride was the only known attraction at the park to survive its downsizing into the Club Sega Canal City game center in November 2001. Currently, it is unknown how long the ride continued at the venue.
Ride Variants
After 1999 until the park's permanent closure, the attraction's space was used for several promotional attractions based on Japanese horror films. These attractions were the same as Murder Lodge aside from the change in theming.
- From 17 July 1999 until an unspecified date in 2000, the attraction became The Ring - 3D Sound (リング ~3Dサウンド~) as a tie-in to Ring 2. [1]
- From 20 July 2000 until 24 September 2001, the attraction became School Day of the Dead - 3D Sound (死者の学園祭~3Dサウンド~) as a tie-in to the Japanese horror film School Day of the Dead.[2]
- From 1 December 2001 until an unknown timeframe, the attraction became The Dinner of the Thirteen Fearful People (十三人恐怖の晩餐), based on the Japanese girl group Morning Musume.[3][4]
