HELP

Nostalgische Achterbahn is a steel roller coaster currently travelling with Norbert Witte.

History

The ride was manufactured by Schwarzkopf in 1967, debuting on the German fair circuit a year later under ownership of Purwin. The ride would be named Alpen Express during this time, continuing operation up until 1990, where it was sold to Hofmann & Jehn. They continued its operation on the German fairs up until 1998, after which they sold it to the Löwenthal family, who opened it in Skyline Park.[1]

The ride opened in Skyline as Achterbahn, the same name the ride was given when it changed hands between Purwin and Hofmann & Jehn. It was originally situated close to the park entrance, but was relocated for the 2015 season, after which it changed its name to Nostalgische Achterbahn. It would eventually close again on 6 November 2022 and was sold to travelling showman Norbert Witte.
