Orlando Free Fall, otherwise referred to as ICON Park Drop Tower, was a Drop Tower previously located at Icon Park in Orlando, Florida, USA. The ride was marketed as the world's tallest free-standing drop tower at 430 feet tall, 15 feet above the previous tallest drop tower, Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom at Six Flags Great Adventure.

History

Orlando Free Fall was topped off on October 20, 2021.[1] It opened on December 28, 2021.[2] Following an accident on March 24, 2022, the ride closed. In October 2022, it was announced that the ride would never reopen.[3] Deconstruction began in March 2023.[4] As of October 2023, it was listed for sale online.[5][6][7]

Incident

On March 24, 2022, a 14-year-old boy died after falling from the ride.[8] The ride never reopened after the incident and was later dismantled.
