Pixar Place Hotel is a hotel located in Anaheim, California, USA.
History
The hotel originally opened in 1984 as the Emerald of Anaheim. At the time, the hotel was not under any Disney ownership and was operated by the Tokyu Group. The hotel was renamed as The Pan Pacific Hotel Anaheim in 1989,[1] but continued as normal.
On December 12, 1995, The Walt Disney Company announced the purchase of the hotel from the Tokyu Group for $36 million.[2] It became the second hotel on property under Disney ownership and was effectively renamed to the Disneyland Pacific Hotel.
In 2000, as part of the opening of Disney's California Adventure, the hotel was renamed to Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel.
In April 2022, Disney announced that the hotel would be remodeled with a Pixar theme, and renamed to the Pixar Place Hotel.[3] the renovated hotel was rededicated with a grand opening ceremony on January 30, 2024.[4]
